Utawarerumono

Badly injured guy is waking up with amnesia in some strange house, inbetween some strange people. What's wore he has some weird mask on his face, which he can't take off. He is soon accepet into the village and after that ... well I can't say anything else without unfolding the storyline. Despite the fact that most of the people in this anime has a weird ears which might look like it's an anime for kids - the action can be very brutal and unnexpected. The story evolves with the episodes from the fantasy adventure type to a big epic battles between different countries.

 

What Do I think about Utawarerumono ?

+ very well done hybrid of different genres

+ a lot of characters with interesting personalities (everyone will find some fav char for himself)

+funny moments where not just there to take some pressure from dramatic fight after fight, but mostly they were really enjoyable

- anime looks a little bit dol when we are talking about dramatic scenes ( mostly the end) , to be honest it's not dramatic at all

- the geography of the world is very poor, we don't know where all of those battles are being fought and what impact it has on the whole world

- what became of the main character happened waaaay to fast ( from almost dead man to ... yea i don't wanna spoil)
